Description of Workshops:

Past Life Therapy for Bodyworkers
An exploration into releasing past life trauma from today's body

 

Through his work with Structural Integration, Scott has found that working with the physical body can evoke memories and images that are vastly different from the present lifetime. This led him to study with Jungian therapist Roger Woolger (author of 'Other Lives, Other Selves' and 'Healing Your Past Lives').

Current day body aches, pains and even illnesses can often have their roots in past life sources. Working with them by exploring their possible past life causes can serve to heal them in the present life. The object of this workshop learn some of the basic techniques of running a past life and to see a demonstration of how the memory can be inducted and processed.

• Topics to be covered
  • Principles of the Subtle Bodies.
  • How the etheric body carries memories from life to life.
  • Recognizing Past Life wounding in the Present Body.
  • Tapping into your own past life memories.

Introduction to Structural Integration

This lecture/demonstration is designed to give people an idea of what Structural Integration is and how it is done. The history and development of the work, how it works, and what one can expect from it are discussed. A question and answer period allows everyone to determine if the Structural Integration process would be beneficial to them. The appropriate length of time for this presentation is about an hour and a half.

Body Oriented Past Life Therapy

Scott will discuss how he got involved with "past life" memories and his experiences with them. A theory on how the mental, emotional, and physical bodies all may carry deep memories and what is needed to resolve them will be presented. Participants will get a chance to awaken a deep memory within them.

Use of Self in Bodywork: Ethics:

While most bodywork education is focused upon what is going on within the client, this workshop will focus on what is going on within you. We will focus on the awareness of the sensations, feelings, ethical issues and intuitions that come up during a session. We will also look at practitioner burnout from bringing home "stuff" that is not yours, and how establishing proper boundaries and professional standards can help.

• Explore ways of gaining greater intuition and not confusing it with transference/countertransference.
• Learn how to establish appropriate boundaries when communicating with clients.
• Workshop will consist of lecture, group discussions and activities, so wear comfortable clothing and bring yoga mats if you have any.
• 6 hours for NCBTMB category B credit available includes ethics

Use of Self in Bodywork: Discovering Intuition.

While most bodywork education is focused upon what is going on within the client, this workshop will focus on what is going on within you. We will focus on discovering your personal path to intuition. We will also discover ways to bring intuition into your consciousness.

• Learn how to recognize your intuition, and discover if it is accurate in a safe setting.
• Examine the ways you make decisions based upon your intuition.
• Practice using your intuition in a massage/bodywork setting.
• Workshop will consist of lecture, group discussions and activities, so wear comfortable clothing and bring yoga mats and a massage table if possible.
• 6 hours for NCBTMB category B credit available.

This class will take three Saturdays (two hours each).  We will look at the Deep Memory Process, a combination of Jungian Psychology and various forms of shamanism, developed by Roger Woolger.  It explores how unfinished business from our past (this life and others)can influence our experience of the world. We will also explore how we can find one's purpose in this life through remembering past lives. The first class will examine the history and philosophy of the work.  The second class will be experiential.  We will explore ways of inducting a deep
 memory.   The third class will explore what a complete process of
using the Deep Memory  Process would look like.
